Motorcycle Clothing Assessment Program (MotoCAP) Rider Consultation
Consultation has concluded
Motorcyclists are among our most vulnerable road users. It’s crucial to take precautions to protect yourself on the roads; riding to the road conditions, to your own conditions, the weather conditions, improving your skills, and wearing gear that will protect you if you do come off your bike.
Our Engagement team headed to York Motorcycle Festival last week for motorcycle safety week where they talked to riders about all things motorcycle safety, and one of the focuses was about the Motorcycle Clothing Assessment Program (MotoCAP). Obviously we only got a chance to talk to a small number of WA's motorcyclists at the festival, so we're taking this opportunity to expand our reach and engage with riders online.

We'd really like to hear from you:
- Take the MotoCAP survey below to help us better understand more about riders and their gear
- Drop a MotoCAP question in the Q&A forum below for Beki to answer.
- Share your stories and experiences about motorcycle gear in the 'Gear Stories' tab below
We'll have these open until May 7th, so you've got a few weeks to get involved before we analyse the information you've given us and use it to improve the way we promote and communicate with riders about MotoCAP.
Share your motorcycle gear stories
We'd love for you to share your experiences with riding gear. It could possibly be:
- imparting some wisdom about the importance of choosing the right gear
- perhaps there's a story of a time your gear saved your skin
- a time you wish you had better gear
- if you've had experience buying using the MotoCAP ratings
- And any other stories about your experience with protective clothing generally
This will be open for story contributions until end of day Friday 7th May 2021.
